Welcome to SANDYLAND!!

Target Sucks

I’ve made other posts over the years about my faith and my beliefs and Christianity.  In fact, two years ago I posted this: Jesus is the Reason and questioned why people celebrate something they don’t believe in.

But I have to say that this year the Christmas commercials are almost obscene with greed.

Of course we all talk (repeatedly) about the commercialism of Christmas.  But Target takes the cake this year.  Watch this crap:

This commercial makes me angry.  Really angry!!  “What’d ya get?  What’d ya get?”  Seriously???  I want to punch the people at Target.  Who came up with that crap?

Guess what Target……your greed just lost you a customer.

Target

Cheers.

  1. We were talking about that today about how more and more people want to take the Christ out of Christmas. Someone mentioned how in Boston this year they went so far as to decorate a ‘holiday’ tree.. And a school district in DC took Christmas off their calendar but decided to give the students off anyway.. give me a break? Some retail chains wont say Merry Christmas but only Happy Holidays. it is sad… I hope your CHRISTMAS party went well lat night Sandy. Merry Christmas 🙂

    • It’s getting a little pathetic, isn’t it? The reason Christmas and its celebrations began was to celebrate and honor the birth of Jesus Christ. And, like you said, retailers and others want to take that away and just commercialize the holiday. Here’s my vision: Celebrate the birth of Christ at Christmas and for the rest of the year, celebrate whatever the heck else you want – give gifts, say happy holidays and all that other junk, but for Christmas….celebrate Christ.
      My Christmas party was stupendous!!
