It’s that time of year again – the sun is shining bright and hot and we’re all sitting around sipping on iced coffees.
Ahhh….Iced coffee. It can be so decadent – and often so healthy. It can be refreshing and glamorous at the same time.
And, thanks to Dollar Days at places like McDonald’s and Tim Horton’s (although Tim Horton’s is gross!), you can sip often and only spend your spare change. Sipping at places like Starbucks or local artisan coffee shops can be a true indulgence (there is no Starbucks locally for me), but it’s also an indulgence on your bank account.
So many of us attempt to make our iced coffee at home. I have been attempting to master my brew for a few years, but I have yet to perfect my home brew.
I have blended with skim milk and coconut cream and sweetened condensed milk (not at the same time, of course), but never can get my taste buds to accept it as just right. I have blended black with sweetener, I’ve tried flavor shots (ehmmm, no), but my iced coffee, although good, just hasn’t been as good as my local Central Perk.
So, all you Iced Coffee lovers out there….hit me up with your favorite iced coffee recipe.
I live my life with zeal. At least I try to. Sometimes I can be overzealous. I fully admit this. And really, there’s nothing wrong with that. But, often my overzealousness can be a little too much for others to handle. I’m still a work in progress.
Y – Yellow
My favorite color is yellow. And I always try to live as the brightest yellow. Yellow is a happy color. People gravitate to yellow. I am trying. I am shining as brightly as I can.
X – Xylitol
I keep hearing about Xylitol in place of sugar. But that’s a weird name, right? Doesn’t it sound mediciney?
W – Weekend
Oh what a weekend. As I mentioned in my last post, this weekend is the Annual Apple Blossom Festival in my neck of the woods. And, I can attest, it has been a fantastic weekend.
