Copper Roasting Pan
When I was shopping in the US last month, I spotted a gorgeous copper roasting pan (do I sound like Rachel talking about that gravy boat??). It caught my eye as I was exiting the store and I haven’t stopping thinking about it. I don’t have a clue why, but I really want that roasting pan. And, of course, I can’t find it.
There are tons of copper cookware out there – Copper Chef, Copper Cookware, Gotham Steel – but I haven’t found the roasting pan anywhere. I haven’t even come close.
Whyyyyy can’t I find the one I saw? The one I want? Grrr!
At this point, I think I’d be happy with whatever shape. I mean, I already have a roaster, but the copper one has been calling my name.
A Yellow Coat
I have been wanting that yellow leather jacket from Buffy the Vampire Slayer since I was 15. But I’ve also been on the hunt for a yellow winter coat for a good 10 years now too.
And I’m not super picky…as long it’s the right color of yellow and is long enough to cover my butt, and looks good….I’ll be happy.
Think Faith Hill in her Stealing Kisses video….
Remember – butt and neck need to be warm.
Veronica Beard – Jude Sweater
I love this sweater. It comes in black, white, and forest green. And I love it.
Of course, it is super pricey at $395, but this is a wish list – not a “go out and buy this stuff” list, so it’s a-ok.
Veronica Beard has a lot of cute items in her collection. Check her out:
I am starting early this year. Mostly because I am always getting nagged on that I don’t give people enough time.
The first item on my wish list this year are these loafers by Ted Baker London.
I saw them in a slide and fell in love with them instantly. They are about $175 Canadian. Eep. I’m not holding my breath. But aren’t they gorgeous? (Those frilled pants are pretty cute too!)
I’ve had this book, The Minimalist Baker’s Everyday Cooking, saved to my desktop at work for a long time.
Although I couldn’t really care less about gluten-free recipes, I am really into whole foods and clean eating. I don’t practice clean eating all the time, but I am in love with the Whole 30 program and do it often. In fact, I’m planning on a recharge at the start of the new year (anyone with me??).
This book has tons of plant-based recipes that look pretty easy and delicious. It’s not high on my wish list, but I would love to try out some of the recipes.
Today I put up my Christmas tree. This may be the earliest I’ve put it up but, it has been crappy weather outside, I’m home, and after doing some crazy Black Friday weekend shopping yesterday in the City with the girls (followed by an evening of spicy wine and girl chats) I was kind of in the mood.
So, the tree is up, the presents are underneath (although not yet wrapped), and I did some more shopping this afternoon.
I also got a massive splinter underneath my fingernail in the midst of all this, which is still dug in there and doesn’t seem like it’s planning to vacate itself anytime soon.
But, since I’m at the computer already and basically in the Christmas mood, here is the very first of my Christmas Wish List posts for 2016.
I love bib necklaces. They are the perfect way to make a statement and dress up any outfit.
I have a few “sorta” bib necklaces, but when I visited Amazon recently I was overwhelmed and jealous of all the gorgeous necklaces that popped up. I want one…or two….or a half dozen.
Listen, if anyone out there in WordPress Land wants to indulge me and buy me a bib necklace like these – or any variation – I happily accept.
Each recent year I’ve compiled a short list of items I’ve been wishing for and it seems it’s been very helpful to some family and friends. So, in keeping with tradition, this is the first official post of the 2015 Sandyland Christmas Wish List.
The Oh She Glows cookbook is something I’ve been eyeing for a while. It’s chock-full of incredible recipes and each time I hit Chapters I sit with it and admire the glossy photos of delicious foods. I was going to order it a while back and just never did. If Santa* doesn’t bring it this year I will certainly pick it up in the new year.
*Just a note that this book is almost HALF the cost on Amazon and I would never expect Santa (or myself, or anyone else, for that matter) to pay the overpriced in store cost. 🙂
