Veronica Beard – Jude Sweater
I love this sweater. It comes in black, white, and forest green. And I love it.
Of course, it is super pricey at $395, but this is a wish list – not a “go out and buy this stuff” list, so it’s a-ok.
Veronica Beard has a lot of cute items in her collection. Check her out:
I am starting early this year. Mostly because I am always getting nagged on that I don’t give people enough time.
The first item on my wish list this year are these loafers by Ted Baker London.
I saw them in a slide and fell in love with them instantly. They are about $175 Canadian. Eep. I’m not holding my breath. But aren’t they gorgeous? (Those frilled pants are pretty cute too!)
Some of you may not know this about me, but I am a huge Star Wars nerd. I mean, I’m not a super geek or anything, but I grew up watching Stars Wars (likely where my initial love for Harrison Ford began, followed, of course, by Indiana Jones), I played Star Wars with my brother and cousins, I even have a crazy Chewbacca doll from when a Christmas when I was very little ….this one, actually:
And a few weeks ago, while in Florida, I got to meet Chewy himself. It was an incredible moment for us both. 😉
So, for the past couple of years I have been wanting, desperately, a Han Solo cell phone case. I mean, this is pretty much the coolest thing ever created.
I keep going to order one, but never do. I have also been wanting, yet, it remains in my unshipped cart, a Daryl Dixon phone case. Just because it looks super rad (and, of course, because it’s Daryl Dixon):
In the meantime, while I wait patiently for Santa to find me, if you see this guy around, will you send him my way? PLEASE:
Today I put up my Christmas tree. This may be the earliest I’ve put it up but, it has been crappy weather outside, I’m home, and after doing some crazy Black Friday weekend shopping yesterday in the City with the girls (followed by an evening of spicy wine and girl chats) I was kind of in the mood.
So, the tree is up, the presents are underneath (although not yet wrapped), and I did some more shopping this afternoon.
I also got a massive splinter underneath my fingernail in the midst of all this, which is still dug in there and doesn’t seem like it’s planning to vacate itself anytime soon.
But, since I’m at the computer already and basically in the Christmas mood, here is the very first of my Christmas Wish List posts for 2016.
I love bib necklaces. They are the perfect way to make a statement and dress up any outfit.
I have a few “sorta” bib necklaces, but when I visited Amazon recently I was overwhelmed and jealous of all the gorgeous necklaces that popped up. I want one…or two….or a half dozen.
Listen, if anyone out there in WordPress Land wants to indulge me and buy me a bib necklace like these – or any variation – I happily accept.
Each recent year I’ve compiled a short list of items I’ve been wishing for and it seems it’s been very helpful to some family and friends. So, in keeping with tradition, this is the first official post of the 2015 Sandyland Christmas Wish List.
The Oh She Glows cookbook is something I’ve been eyeing for a while. It’s chock-full of incredible recipes and each time I hit Chapters I sit with it and admire the glossy photos of delicious foods. I was going to order it a while back and just never did. If Santa* doesn’t bring it this year I will certainly pick it up in the new year.
*Just a note that this book is almost HALF the cost on Amazon and I would never expect Santa (or myself, or anyone else, for that matter) to pay the overpriced in store cost. 🙂
I love records. Yes, records. Not CDs, not MP3a, RECORDS!
I have an old stereo system that plays records and has big speakers. I bought it from a friend many, many years ago for $20 and have cherished it (I also have a still-working Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too record player). The sound of vinyl is something unmatched. In fact, Blue Rodeo released an album a few years ago ON VINYL! Love it.
My record player needs a new needle, unfortunately, but it still plays. (And just to note, Billy Joel’s Piano Man is so incredible on vinyl that I have two copies of it…y’know, just in case.)
That’s why I was ecstatic to see that Walmart – yes, Walmart – is selling record players. Yay for a rewind.
And I have my eye on this little guy:
(People from my family reading this….Please feel free to pass this on to, maybe to a certain guy who may be looking for ideas. :p)
Other peeps reading this, you can order this class-act HERE.
Pineapple Print Dress
Anyone who knows me knows that I love a good dress. As soon as spring hits and all the damn snow has melted I live in dresses until the end of fall (or until it gets too cold to go bare-legged).
A few years ago I spotted a pineapple print dress in a magazine and have been on the lookout for one since. Sadly, I haven’t found any. But my eyes are still open. Maybe Santa will be kind and bring me one. Here are a few of my favorites:
Aren’t these all adorable? I can’t wait to find one I like so that I can wear it and feel like summer again.
Bring My Men Back!
For the Christmas (and for 2013 – yikes! Can’t believe I just said “twenty-thirteen.) it would be nice if Cole Hauser could get another great TV contract (so that I could watch him every week).
A few years ago, Cole co-starred on Chase, a super-cool show that I absolutely loved, a) because it was good b) because Cole Hauser co-starred in it (duh!).
Unfortunately, networks suck (see: Reviving Eastwick https://welcometosandyland.wordpress.com/2012/12/07/reviving-eastwick/) and didn’t give the show the chance or recognition it deserved and it was cancelled (YOU SUCK, NETWORK!!!). So this year, I would like my future BF to receive a contract to star in another weekly…preferably an hour-long drama, but I’ll take what I can get.
And hey, while I’m at it….I’d like to request that my 80’s elementary school/tween infatuation, Scott Bloom get some work IN FRONT OF the camera.
I haven’t seen Scott in anything since John Q (2002) and Smokin’ Aces (2006). Apparently, he’s writing and producing these days. *sigh* I was so head-over-heels for him when I was 10, 11, 12. He played Jesse Nash, Sam’s boyfriend on Who’s The Boss? and I wanted him to be my boyfriend. But I was 10, 11, 12 and living a pipe dream. I thought he was the cat’s meow. I’d like to see him get some work in front of the camera. But I’d settle for going for a glass of wine. I might even let the Man come with. Because I’m a good girlfriend. 🙂
LOVE LOVE LOVE! Someone PLEASE buy these for me. PLEASE. SANTA????
I’m not sure what it is about this damn owl bank, but it’s eye-catching and I can’t stop looking at it. Very cute. Have no idea where I would actually put it, but I think it’s adorable.
