2016 Christmas Wish List – Part 1

Today I put up my Christmas tree.  This may be the earliest I’ve put it up but, it has been crappy weather outside, I’m home, and after doing some crazy Black Friday weekend shopping yesterday in the City with the girls (followed by an evening of spicy wine and girl chats) I was kind of in the mood.

So, the tree is up, the presents are underneath (although not yet wrapped), and I did some more shopping this afternoon.

I also got a massive splinter underneath my fingernail in the midst of all this, which is still dug in there and doesn’t seem like it’s planning to vacate itself anytime soon.

But, since I’m at the computer already and basically in the Christmas mood, here is the very first of my Christmas Wish List posts for 2016.

I love bib necklaces.  They are the perfect way to make a statement and dress up any outfit.

I have a few “sorta” bib necklaces, but when I visited Amazon recently I was overwhelmed and jealous of all the gorgeous necklaces that popped up.  I want one…or two….or a half dozen.

I mean, isn’t it *JUST*

Just enough

This is one of my favorites – and currently in my cart on Amazon.ca

I love every variation

And of course the list wouldn’t be complete without an orange one (I have a yellow one in my cart)

Listen, if anyone out there in WordPress Land wants to indulge me and buy me a bib necklace like these – or any variation – I happily accept.

Holiday Wish List (part 3)

A Bedazzled Collar

My friend over at Fashion For Lunch (http://fashionforlunch.wordpress.com/) introduced me to this gorgeous Gemma Lister collar.  I absolutely love it!  And have been admiring it for quite some time.

A few weeks ago I picked up a collar at H&M.  It’s pretty but not quite the same…..

….However, I feel that both myself and FFF are very festive.  🙂

Fashion For Lunch

My friend over at Fashion For Lunch (http://fashionforlunch.wordpress.com/) hosts a sweet blog (<<— that’s it over there <<–) about fashion and product review.  She has beautiful style – a little classic, a little eccentric, tons of color.  She is a total fashionista.  So I’m happy to brag about her and her site (seriously…go check it out RIGHT NOW as soon as you’re finished reading this post.

And so, not too long ago while out shopping I picked up a jacket that I was inspired to buy after several of her colorful outfits.  I told her long ago that I would post it but I never got around to it because I’m lazy so insanely busy that time would just not allow lazy.  So here it is FFF – just for you:

Not the best photo I’ve ever taken but the jacket is cool.

It has a button in the center but the jacket’s a little too big so I cinched it with a belt.  One of these days I’ll try and get around to moving the button over or maybe taking the jacket in.

A close up

I also picked up this ring about a year and a half ago and I thought FFF would like it…She has tons of cool jewelry:

Tweet this!

I normally stick to my regular rings (birthstones and family rings) but I went out on a limb with this one because it’s unique and fun.

The Bucket List

So I’ve jumped on the Bucket-List-bandwagon because I’ve been really busy lazy lately with my posts and figured this would be a really easy way to get something down. 🙂  Plus, I thought it would be neat idea to give things some thought and figure out what I realllly want to do.   Will they ever get Bucketed off?  Who knows?  But it’s fun to dream.

The SandyLand Bucket List

– Send a Message in a Bottle

Confess “I Love You” to someone : {I am a true believer that every person deserves to know that he or she is loved…by someone.  I think it’s important to tell others that they are loved.  I know I would love to hear “I Love You” {I always do :)} so I think if the opportunity comes up, then why not?}  *Just a note that I have obviously confessed my love to someone but I will continue to do it over the remainder of my lifetime, should the occasion arise.

– See a live shark, preferably a Great White (and possibly from inside a shark cage, but doubtful that that will EVER happen since I don’t like being in the water!)

– Visit a Haunted property.  {I’m not sure why I want to do this….I HATE being scared.  I mean, I love the rush from it but the idea of some sort of other worldly entity being near me, or me near it, scares the bejesus out of me.  But…for some odd reason, I still think it would be fun to do.  Ridiculous, I know.

– Participate in “Operation Beautiful” (http://operationbeautiful.com/)

– Watch old classics (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Gone with the Wind, Casablanca).  {I’ve always wanted to watch these films, but haven’t gotten around to it.  One of these days.  I’m sure it will happen.}

–  A) Visit NYC

– B) See a live taping of SNL.  {One of my favorite shows….it would be INSANE to see a live taping.  I’m looking forward to fulfilling this dream.

– Thank THAT teacher.  {We’ve all got one…..I almost had the nerve a few years ago to thank her for what she did….eventually I’ll get there.}

– Get “Freshly Pressed”.  {How ’bout it WORDPRESS?  PRESS ME????????} {www.wordpress.com}

– Finish my book (let it go, Sandy….let it go).  {I started my book years ago.  It’s a true story.  It’s an important story.  But, for some reason I’ve been hanging on to it, not being able to let go of it.  It’s so personal.  It’s my baby.}

– Be confident enough to walk the beach in a swimsuit (yikes!).

– Learn to play my guitar.

I love my guitar

– Drive a Race Car (aka RACE a race car).  {I already have a lead foot and cruise around like I’m Mario Andretti.  I’m sure I can handle a piece of machinery like that.  🙂

– Be part of (or witness) a flash mob.  {A flash mob a la Oprah or Friends with Benefits.  How COOL would that be??  I’d love to do it.  Anyone in???  Hellllloooooo??}

– Have a conversation (and a tea…anything) with Drew Barrymore (and confess my long-lived, undying girly love and admiration to/for her).

We’ll see how these go.  🙂
